We got a little impatient waiting for Spring time and warm weather, so we decided to take our box across the country to sunny Los Angeles. In the city of angels you’ll always find some bright colors, funky patterns, and an overall chill vibe.
We partnered with quickly growing men’s brand Nick Graham to bring you this floral print necktie. Micro-floral print has been trending this past year and is undoubtedly going to continue through the Spring and Summer. From sneakers, ties, and even dress shirts you can’t go a day without seeing this pattern somewhere. For a loud & busy tie like this, you’ll want to avoid a small patterned shirt and should stick to a solid shirt to balance it all out. If you have any Summer weddings coming up, this can absolutely be your go-to tie! Nick Graham doesn’t only make great ties, but they make some of the popular fun shirts and have a Bill Nye the Science Guy bow tie line! Make sure to check them out.
Whenever you get tired of your chunky bi-fold wallet (when it’s in your back pocket and it hurts to sit down…) you got to mix it up. We looked to Men In Cities to hook us up with their sleek and modern take on a man’s wallet. As fewer people seem to carry cash on them and stick to cards, this is a perfect fit. These guys are made with 100% vegetable leather so no cows were harmed in the making 🙂
Warmer weather of course calls for brighter colors and rolling up those cuffs. These bright striped socks by Basic Outfitters are a great way to add some color and draw attention to your feet. You can dress them up with a pair of suede tassel loafers or, like a real west coaster, dress them down with your favorite Vans.
We took one of our favorite and top selling products, the Silver Wayfarer Tie Clip, put a spin on it, and turned it into a lapel pin. This little guy is a great way to add some character to your naked lapel, unless you’re rocking one of our lapel flowers. Its small size is subtle enough not to stand out like a sore thumb, but once you notice it, you appreciate the attention to detail to the whole outfit.
A Nato watch strap is a great way to add variety to your watch collection. By switching up a leather band with a striped nylon strap, it’s almost like you have an entirely new watch! This staple accessory comes from our close friends over at Martenero who make incredible and modern watches for under $500. If you’re seriously starting to consider investing in a good watch that will last you a lifetime (and won’t cost you an arm and a leg), we highly recommend Martenero.
We couldn’t do a LA box without having local natives Weekend Casual be a part of it. The West Coast knows wrist game. You’ll often find someone stacking these wooden beaded bracelets on top of their watch or even alone on the other hand.
